Dear Parents,

I am pleased to announce that we have completed negotiations and reached an approved settlement with the Eagles Peak Charter School ("Coastal"). This is a wonderful event for both schools. This settlement allows us to put the past behind us and move forward with our plans to refine our excellent programs and continue to enroll the students who are now on our waiting list. The Board and staff worked long and hard on this agreement. Many thanks to all involved for their tireless commitment to our students.

This will resolve all issues between the two schools, particularly financial concerns. The agreement stipulates that Eagles Peak Inland Empire will reimburse Eagles Peak "Coastal" for our startup costs and all funds advanced to us. To do this, we are taking out a loan to repay the Eagles Peak "Coastal", to be paid by the end of next year. Repayment of this loan will not require cuts in services or student materials and is built into our current budgets. Towards this end, Eagles Peak Inland Empire’s Board approved a loan at the last Board meeting after the settlement agreement was approved.

Another stipulation of the settlement is that our school change its name. This will make it clear that we are now two separate schools. Just recently, The Senior Administation has chosen their three favorite names based upon your suggestions. These suggestions will be voted upon by the Board of Directors at the May 10th Board meeting at 2 PM at the Riverside Student Center at 8775 Magnolia. Please come to participate in this momentous event.

Finally, the agreement designates that both our Wildomar and Hemet locations will be exclusively ours next year. This will allow us to increase our high school offerings at Wildomar and our K-12 offerings at Hemet. Please keep your eye on our website for more information about these programs.
